ACL Running Session - Late Stage Drills [ Axe Physio ]

ACL Running session. What should an ACL rehab look like when you are getting ready to start sprinting, changing direction and getting back to the sport you love? This is an ACL session that I would give to someone in the late stage of their rehab. I made this video to highlight the level I expect field athletes to get back to when they are doing there last stage of rehab.( For People have passed all their strength and running markers including normal change of direction). I hope this highlights to people the level as to which people should be at before they return to actually playing sport and getting involved with team trainings again. 00:00 Intro 01:16 Dynamic Warm Up 03:45 Mobility 05:25 Potentiation 08:38 Sprint Mechanics 11:06 Speed Blocks 12:33 Change Of Direction Drill (COD): “T” Drills 13:32 COD “Y” Shuttle 14:22 COD “W” Drill 15:02 “S” Drill 16:47 “505” Agility Test I feel very strongly about ACL rehab. for the most part ACL rehab is done very poorly and is why many people get re-injured after an ACL op. Most people I have seen clinically don't undergo hard enough rehab that involves explosive running, changing of direction and a focus on HOW we move as well as just ticking boxes because the physio said so. Sports/ACL rehab is hard and it is not taught well in physio school at the best of times and feel that the lack of awareness of rehab difficulty is why so many people get re-injured. So I hope this video sheds some light on the standard that should be seen in late stage acl rehab. #acl #aclsurgery #aclinjury #acl rehab ‪@Axerugby‬ __________________________________________________________________________________ 🔔 Subscribe & Hit the Bell To Get The Best Injury Prevention & Performance Content    / @axerugby   ✅ For business inquiries contact me at: [email protected] ✅ Let's connect: Website: www.axephysiotherapy.com www.axephysio.com.au Twitter: @axephysio   / axephysio   Facebook: @axephysiotherapy To Share My Channel Use This Link    / axephysio   Instagram: @Axe_Physio   / axe_physio   ___________________________________________________________________________ DISCLAIMER: This content (the video, description, links, and comments) is not medical advice or a treatment plan and is intended for general education and demonstration purposes only.
