Our passage on Earth is brief. Passing through life without leaving anything for future generations seems selfish and far too little to me. And that is exactly what the faithful gardener of Praça da República shows us: altruism, empathy and a lot of hard work can transform a once unattractive place into something beautiful for generations to come. Eduardo Paziam, or simply Pazi, is a character who would already be remarkable on his own. But he overflows and makes an impact. And he has been making a significant impact by adopting planting beds in downtown São Paulo. He retired at 50 after a long and successful career in the textile industry and has now devoted himself to being a tireless gardener. This episode is a celebration of greenery, of Atlantic Forest conservation, and of Pazi’s drive. Long life and many plantings!
