My perfect Jazzmaster finally exists.

I've put together a few partscasters over the years, but somehow this was my first Jazzmaster-style build! And, suffice to say, I am OBSESSED. From the look to the versatility, I'm in LOVE with this thing. 0:00 Intro 0:59 Clean 1:33 About the pickups (Seymour Duncan Hot Jazzmaster Silencers) 2:34 About the bananas prototype wiring harness 6:27 Overdriven 10:41 About the Nomoonlaser body 11:56 Cranked gain 16:33 About the neck and hardware 18:34 Jazz and final thoughts Links (some of which are affiliate links) Nomoonlaser on ‪@Reverb‬: https://tidd.ly/4bErfZf ‪@seymourduncan‬ Jazzmaster Silencer pickups: https://sweetwater.sjv.io/ra1QQy (sweetwater) https://seymour-duncan.sjv.io/HotJazz... I highly recommend his bodies for partscaster builds. No, they don't use fancy wood, but they're affordable, well-built, and seem to often use reclaimed wood, which I love. The pickups are the Seymour Duncan Hot Jazzmaster Silencer pickups. I demoed the Vintage Jazzmaster Silencer pickups when they were first released, and I was excited to try the hot. Safe to say, I'm not disappointed. These things do exactly what they set out to—sound like an especially punchy Jazzmaster without any 60-cycle hum. The Gunstreet Wiring harness I used is a prototype by Sean. I really hope they end up releasing it to everyone, because it's WONDERFUL. Instead of a shared volume/tone control, each pickup gets its own volume, so you can blend pickups to taste in the middle position (or in series). Then, the "rhythm" switch got swapped out for a series switch, which sounds absolutely HUGE with the Hot Jazzmaster Silencers. But, honestly, I often find series switches a little muddy. This harness takes care of that by including two passive tone controls—a high-cut and a low-cut—where the rhythm tone/volume would usually be. It's probably my favorite wiring I've ever used with a Jazzmaster, and this is coming from someone who's known to use the rhythm circuit! The neck is from the Fender website and was a bit of a splurge, but I really like it. Same with the Mastery vibrato unit. I've used their bridges before, so I figured I'd like it, but the vibrato unit as a whole is very nice. It probably is a good deal better than the Fender Panorama trem, which costs nearly a hundred dollars more than the Mastery MV ($315 vs, $215). Rest is largely spare parts I picked up from The Trading Musician in Seattle before they closed. Support Get Offset by...
