Diamonds Waterpolo – North Channel Swim, 2016

On 25 August 2016, nine women from Diamonds Waterpolo Club in Belfast swam the North Channel, from Donaghadee in N. Ireland to Portpatrick in Scotland. They swam in two relay teams of four and five people respectively, each setting a new world record at the time. This is their story, following their training in winter seawater just a few degrees above freezing.
