In this new adventure, we traveled hundreds of kilometers through the heart of Uruguay in search of a place that seemed to belong to another era. Our journey took us along rural roads, through small towns and forgotten corners of Río Negro, until we reached Las Lilas, an impressive ranch built in the late 19th century by Lieutenant General Miguel Antonio Navajas. With its Swiss-style chalet, materials brought from Europe, enormous historical murals, and a past tied to the region's agricultural production, Las Lilas was for decades one of the most important establishments in the area. But getting there was much more than visiting an old ranch. It was about learning local stories, talking with people from the countryside, and discovering a part of Uruguay that few people ever see.
