Soap Challenge Club May 2026

⭐⭐ADVANCED CATEGORY (competitive) Focus is on honing skills and showing your ability to control trace to create even more layers in your soap. Who can enter?: Please read the Which Category Should You Enter section below! Use two (2) colors to create seven (7) or nine (9) layers in your gradient. Straight even layers and a smooth gradient between colors is the goal!! Watch Part 1 video above to see how to achieve this! BUT you’ll need to calculate seven containers of soap instead of five. Jennifer’s handout shows you how! You can include top embellishments to elevate your design but they must feature colors from your gradient. We want them to compliment your gradient, not steal the show! You can adhere them to the top of your soap using piped soap or just implant them into your freshly poured soap. Embelishments and piping can be from another batch of soap. Embellishments can be molded (cold process or melt and pour soap) or soap dough. Piping can be any color. Top embellishments must be at least 75% colors from your gradient. You can use one (1) color outside of your gradient as needed (for example, a green leaf on a fruit.) No mica paint. Glitter sprinkled on is okay.
