My Actual Cambridge Maths Interview Question (2/3) | Mechanics
Today I’m going into the second question from my Cambridge Maths interview from back in 2016 — this one was all about stability of solutions and a mechanics setup. It’s a great example of the high level mechanics questions they dont ask very often but could ask in your interview. These are based on the 2014 spec so some of the content may not be in the current syllabus If you’re gearing up for STEP, TMUA, MAT, or Oxbridge interviews, this style of question is perfect practice — Cambridge loves testing whether you can take an unfamiliar physical situation, turn it into mathematics, and reason clearly about what the system wants to do.
