A tragedy struck the Tabasco Fairgrounds after a massive fire engulfed a commercial building early Thursday morning, leaving five people dead and approximately 200 stalls destroyed. The blaze broke out while activities were taking place near a concert, although the affected area was closed to the public. According to state authorities, the victims were out-of-town exhibitors who had stayed overnight inside the fairgrounds and were trapped when the structure collapsed.
