Native American Church Conductor at Satan Butte

Satan Butte is a rock formation in Greasewood, Arizona, on the Navajo Nation. It is best known for spooky, paranormal events, but the Navajo name for this place reveals another history. Our guide is Mike James Sr., a retired educator and military veteran who has lived in the area since the 1960s. He has also been a conductor for the Native American Church (NAC) for decades: he knows where to find medicinal plants and abides by an old school philosophy regarding the purpose of medicine men.
