The best way to experience Ninh Binh in Vietnam

Ninh Binh, Vietnam — the place people call "Avatar in real life." In this video, I spend 3 full days exploring Ninh Binh properly — not just a quick day trip from Hanoi — and what I found completely changed how I see this part of Vietnam. We start with the iconic Tam Coc boat tour on the Ngo Dong River, visit the ancient Bich Dong Pagoda built into the limestone cliffs, and hike 500 steps to the top of Hang Mua (Dragon Mountain) for one of the most breathtaking views in the entire region. On day two, we head to the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital — Vietnam's very first capital, founded in 968 AD — and explore the temples and the tomb of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang, the man who unified the country and ended the Anarchy of the 12 Warlords. From there, we visit Bai Dinh Pagoda, the largest Buddhist complex in Vietnam, home to the longest Arhat statue corridor in Asia and the tallest stupa on the continent. And on the final day, we take on Trang An — the UNESCO World Heritage site that Kong: Skull Island was filmed in — and discover why this landscape is not just beautiful, but one of the most historically significant places in all of Vietnam.
