Sore Throat

JJ's teacher contacted us to let us know that JJ was complaining of a sore throat at school. We had her tell him that he wouldn't be able to swim if he has a sore throat. She let us know that changed everything and he seemed to be fine. That is what we expected. It was early release Wednesday and shortly after JJ arrived home from school, he asked for his iPad and proceeded to head upstairs to his room. I didn't think too much about it because he has had days when he wanted to rest for a bit before he played. It turns out that he really wasn't feeling well. He didn't want to swim or eat which are signs of a boy who isn't feeling well. Evey time I check him with the thermometer that we have, it gives a slightly different reading every time. all three readings showed that he had a low-grade fever. I gave him some DayQuil Severe medicine to keep his fever low and help his sore throat. I also had him drink a lot of water. We will keep him home tomorrow and hopefully he will feel better for water day at school on Friday. We are praying he gets well quickly and is able to finish his last week of school. After school is over, he will be going to a summer program that will be Monday- Thursday from 9 am to 1pm until June 30th, then he will have all of July for a summer break until school resumes in August. #Autism #AutismAcceptance #AutismAwareness #AutismLife #AutismFamily Songs used in the video: LULLABY AND BY by DR.
