The new Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S comes with the updated AMG M177 EVO engine, a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo petrol engine with an integrated starter generator and a 48V mild-hybrid system. The engine produces 450 kW / 612 hp and 850 Nm of torque, plus an extra 17 kW / 23 hp and 205 Nm from the ISG system. Power is sent through the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G automatic transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive. The updated M177 EVO V8 engine features a new flat-plane crankshaft, modified intake camshaft, optimised fuel injection system, newly designed intake and exhaust ports, improved turbocharger hardware and state-of-the-art exhaust aftertreatment with particulate filter. The goal is better response, improved efficiency and long-term compliance with future regulations while keeping the emotional AMG V8 character. Inside, the new Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S gets a high-quality AMG cockpit with the latest MB.OS operating system, AMG-specific displays, performance data, torque distribution, G-force information, detailed engine parameters, premium materials, carbon trim, AMG steering wheel, AMG sport seats, ambient lighting and a new digital experience. The exterior has also been redesigned with a new AMG front grille, larger air intakes, exclusive LED light signature, AMG-specific headlights, sporty rear diffuser, AMG Performance exhaust system with quad tailpipes, optional AMG Night Package II with dark chrome accents and wheels up to 22 inches for the GLE 63 S.
