I stayed in a Balcony Suite (¥50,000/person). The room comes with comfortable twin beds, shower, bathroom, and full amenities — plus a luxurious dinner and breakfast buffet. Since the ferry fare to Korea is included, it's actually quite good value. There's also a 4-person cabin (shared room possible) starting from ¥20,000 (breakfast & dinner buffet included). If you've ever wanted to travel to Korea by ferry or simply have the time to spare, it's definitely worth considering! Higher-class options include a Presidential Suite (¥120,000/person) and Royal Suite (¥70,000/person) — the ultimate in luxury! This was my very first trip to Korea. Don't you find that the places closest to home are somehow the ones you never quite get around to visiting? With no particular interest in K-POP, Korean dramas, or Korean cosmetics, I never had a reason to go — until I finally found one: Korean crafts and antiques. I'd been making the rounds of mingei (Japanese folk art) spots lately, and it seems that following the path of mingei naturally leads you to Korea. Snow, sub-zero temperatures — none of it mattered. I had to go! So I boarded the ferry to Busan. I'll be featuring Korean antiques and folk art in depth in my next video. To prepare for my first visit to Korea, I watched "White and Black Spoon," a hugely popular Netflix Original Korean cooking competition — and it was seriously intense and a lot of fun.
