How-To Open a Transfer Case / Change Input Shaft - NP231

In this video we are going to open up a transfer case, in this case (no pun intended) we are opening it up to change or replace the input shaft. Some years had different splines on the t-case input shafts and therefore will need to be changed when mixing and matching different year transmissions with transfer cases. Although I'm only changing the input shaft this video could also help you to get the case open to replace the chain, to replace the output shaft, or to install an SYE or slip yoke eliminator.
