Agartala International Airport Opening Today - New Terminal Building Final Look - MBB Airport

The under-construction terminal building at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala will become operational by few days,Airports Authority of India (AAI) official has said. The new terminal will have the capacity to handle nearly 1,200 passengers a day, nearly three times more than the existing facility, which currently handles 500 daily passengers. The building will feature six bays, one hangar, 20 check-in counters, five customs counters and ten immigration counters. It will have an inline baggage system, a full-body scanner machine and a solar power unit. In addition, it will be decorated with miniature sculptures of Unakoti’s Tripurasundari Temple.
