HORNBY'S 2022 M7 TANK ENGINE FINALLY ARRIVES : REVIEW + HOW TO DCC FIT WHILST RETAINING THE WEIGHT.
Hornby announced a new livery for their M7 tank engine (Malachite Green with British Railways lettering) back in 2022. Three years later it has arrived, and I take a first look. Whilst Hornby have not made any modifications to the cumbersome DCC fitting process during nearly 20 years since this model first appeared - which requires the user to discard the models metal weight - fortunately, technology has overtaken the models vintage, and it is now possible to fit DCC WITHOUT having to discard the essential weight.
