New Month, New Critters - Animal Crossing Wild World - Ep. 29

Every year for the last 3 years on the channel we have focused on a different Animal Crossing game. This year it's Wild World's turn, and I don't think I could be any more excited! I played this game a lot growing up, but I never got too far (without resetting...) so I think arguably this is the AC title I know the least. All tips and tricks are welcome! In this playthrough we'll be trying our best to see everything Wild World has to offer, focusing on: completing the Museum, attending all events, trying to see all the "Drama", earning RetroAchievements, and of course just living our best Animal Crossing life. I will be attempting to record and upload about once a week for the entirety of 2026, and in order to best capture Wild World I'll be adopting a sort of "journal" style format. We'll cover what I've been up to during the last week or so since the previous upload, and then once we're caught up to current day we play like normal. I hope that this will allow me to show more of this game! It is community driven, and Wild World has a pretty neat achievement set that we'll be attempting to earn! I am using the MelonDS core to run the game. We have upscaled the graphics a bit, and also the version of the game I am running doesn't require multiplayer in order to earn Nookingtons. Otherwise this is a pretty vanilla playthrough!
