Construyendo sistemas agroalimentarios resilientes a través de la sanidad vegetal

Plant health is essential to protecting food security, rural livelihoods, and the resilience of agri-food systems. At this event, we discussed how innovation, phytosanitary surveillance, and regional cooperation are key to strengthening countries' capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to phytosanitary emergencies. Based on the experience of the VigiMusa project—promoted by the IDB and the International Regional Organization for Plant and Animal Health (OIRSA)—we shared the main advances and lessons learned for strengthening the resilience of agri-food systems in Latin America and the Caribbean.
