BRIQUETTE PRESS

This an update to our Briquette Maker Extraordinaire. We made this one from wood with metal fixings so all the parts are easily replaceable. It does not require much physical effort to make the briquettes as the press exerts about 2000 lbs psi - not good if you leave your thumb in the way as I discovered! :-( We now use a 3:2 mix of sawdust to paper/cardboard which produces briquettes which burn well and stick together well too. We also collect and recycle most of the water that we use to soak the paper mix. Check out the links below, if you fancy having a go yourself.
