The new ferries are faster, reducing the travel time between the terminals. There are more frequent trips, minimizing wait times for passengers. Improved facilities for disabled passengers and better access for pedestrians and vehicles. Passengers board the ferry at Pengkalan Sultan Abdul Halim (PSAH) in Butterworth on the mainland. The terminal is equipped with modern facilities, making the boarding process smooth and efficient. The PSAH terminal offers waiting areas and snack stalls for passengers. Passengers can enjoy the air-conditioned cabins or opt for outdoor seating to take in the scenic views of the Penang Strait. The ferry ride offers picturesque views of the Penang Bridge, the island’s skyline, and the surrounding waters. The trip typically takes around 10 minutes, depending on sea conditions and ferry schedules. Upon arrival at Pengkalan Raja Tun Uda (PRTU) in George Town, passengers disembark.
