Helen Kara – Independent Research and Creative Methods
With almost two decades of experience as an independent researcher, Dr Helen Kara will tell the story of her career and her work on creative research methods. She will offer useful and practical advice for people considering becoming independent researchers, and for anyone interested in – or already using – creative methods. Bio: Dr Helen Kara has been an independent researcher since 1999 and writes and teaches on research methods. Her most recent book is Creative Research Methods in the Social Sciences: A Practical Guide (Policy Press, 2015). Her next book will be Research Ethics in the Real World (Policy Press, 2018).
