My channel is bilingual. All my videos are always in English and Spanish. In today's step-by-step video tutorial, we're going to crochet a vest or bolero for girls aged 3-4 years. You can also make it larger or smaller simply by changing to a larger or smaller hook. See below. 1-2 years: Use a 4.5mm hook with #4 yarn* 3-4 years: I used a 5mm hook with #4 yarn* 5-6 years: Use a 5.5mm hook with #4 yarn* 7-8 years: Use a 6mm hook with #4 yarn* *#4 YARN IS 4MM THICK. YOU CAN ALSO USE DOUBLE THE STRAND OF #3 BABY YARN (3MM) TO ACHIEVE Roughly the same thickness as #4 YARN. For the vest or bolero I crocheted for 3-4 year old girls, I used #4 yarn and a 5mm hook. I used approximately 175 grams of yarn in total. Remember that the hook size and yarn weight will determine the final size of any crocheted or knitted project. For example, if you use a larger hook than the one I'm using, your garment will be larger, and vice versa with a smaller hook. See above.
