L-Acoustics L2 Hands-On & Huge Festival PA

Dave Rat provides a rundown on the L-Acoustics L2 system, comparing it to the K2 system and noting that it is smaller in height but outputs the same level of sound with less low-end than the K2. The L2 has adjustable panaflex coverage and wiring diagrams with 20 speakers. The L2's amplifier outputs roughly 1200-1300 watts per channel and has separate DSP. Dave Rat also introduces a laser sight unit used for determining the fly bar angle and monitoring the site angles of all the arrays in the system. Additionally, the L2 bump and bar's load rating and use in dead hang angles are discussed, along with the rotator feature for single point hanging and array rotation. The L2 system is 100-350 pounds lighter than the K2 system and offers more control.
