Start-up visa program is for the entrepreneurs with #innovative business ideas who could secure support from a Canadian #designated entity (venture capital, angel investor, incubator). These programs offer advantages such as no net-worth verification, early submission of #permanentresidence applications, issuance of #work-permit during #PR application processing and several others. There may be a few challenges as well which could be mentioned in another video. For start up visas the business must be a new business intended to operate in Canada and must have received a Letter of Support from either: Angel investor investing at least $75,000 CAD, or Venture Capital of at least $200,000 CAD, or A designated business incubator program The founder/applicant of this stream must meet minimum #language requirements (minimum level of CLB 5 in either English or French) The applicant must meet the sufficient #settlement funds threshold *Applicants who intend to reside in Québec are not eligible (Québec has their own individual programs) If you do not meet the above noted criteria, you may still be able to qualify under other classes.
