Выставка "Земля, Небо, Человек" - Юлии Картошкиной в галерее МАРШ в Арт-Центре КУБ в 4K60
Yulia's artistic practice is characterized by a "naive" approach to the subject, which is presented in a deliberately simplified, almost symbolic form. Some authors point to this approach's affinity with the "new sincerity," which, as an artistic movement, opposes postmodern irony, pastiche, and collage. And this is true. However, beyond this, it is also necessary to note the obvious "eidetic" quality of Kartoshkina's work. By removing unnecessary details, as if through a series of phenomenological reductions, Yulia, in her visual analysis, reaches one of the intermediate stages of its original prototype. The appearance of an object in the final stages of reduction has been historically demonstrated, for example, by Malevich. Here, we see the middle stage of reduction, when the object is still recognizable as such, but many specific details of its external manifestation are removed, bracketed, so that its essential core emerges. A bird is a bird in general. A horse is a horse in general. At the same time, the triad of key images featured in the exhibition can be understood symbolically. The proto-trait of writing, the plowing of existence, divides heaven and earth, only to then part in two, forming a middle space in which man loses and finds himself. Shalganov R.D. Yulia Kartoshkina is an artist, curator, and founder of the "Talking Copy" project. She was born in Moscow in 1985. She graduated from the Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Fine Arts and the Russian State Specialized Academy of Arts (workshop of O.N. Loshakov). She is a member of the International Art Fund and the Moscow Union of Artists. The artist's works are included in the collections of the A.N. Radishchev Saratov Museum, the Tuganov Museum, and numerous private collections both in Russia and abroad. Solo exhibition: Earth. Sky. Man. Author: Yulia Kartoshkina. Gallery MARCH in the KUB Art Center. Dates: 11.07-09.08. https://cube.moscow/personalnaya-vyst...
