Incredible Crop-Marks Reveal Northern Stonehenge
With Stonehenge continually capturing the headlines it is easy to assume it must have been the centre of prehistoric Britain. And by virtue of that, the regions furthest away from it must have been more primitive, mustn't they? This week we look at a evidence in the north west of England - on the coast of Cumberland - that suggests otherwise. 9 lost Neolithic henges - bigger than Stonehenge - now revealed as incredible crop-marks. Each of the henges is looked at in turn including two at the Giant's Grave near Kirksanton, a mega-henge at Bootle and others at Millom Castle, Millom Rugby Club, Silecroft and Gutterby. Ending up at the magnificent Swinside stone circle, we are left in doubt that life here was far from primitive. A huge thanks to Adam Morgan Ibbotson for his help with this video and for inspiring it. His enthusiasm for the Millom Lines made it possible.
