We... Are Venom The HHSAA Semifinal kicked off Friday afternoon at John Kauinana Stadium as the OlA Champions, the Kahuku Red Raiders, took on the Mililani Trojans in a 3 meeting this season. Both teams were tied up 1-1 after facing each other earlier in the OlA Semifinal won by Kahuku, and in the middle of the regular season won by Mililani. The Red Raiders debuted their new black uniforms just in time for the tournament. Although looking so fresh and so clean, a scoreless first half was set to happen, until a special team play led by Junior DB Madden Soliai and Senior DB Aiden Manutai, blocked a field goal attempt by the Trojans and ran it back to the house for 70 yards. That would be the one and only touchdown of the game for the Red Raiders. It was an all defensive showdown, until the Trojans snuck a late touchdown hoping to tie the game with just seconds left in the game. Kahukus defense would stop the Trojans 2 point attempt to tie the game, and punched their ticket back to the State Championship game. This will be their 5th straight appearance in the title game, hoping to 4 peat and bring the Koa Wood trophy back to the pride of the North Shore.
