Test method to determine the influence of additives (especially surface and wax additives) on the coefficient of friction of dry coating films. Measurements are executed by using Altek 9505 AER equipment. A coated panel is placed on the tester plate. A piece of felt is sticked on the bottom of a weight which then is installed and pulled across the coated panel. The coefficient of friction is determined and indicated directly on the electronic analog meter and plotted on the chart recorder.
