Alcest vs. Deafheaven: Why does Neige utilize pure Dream Pop and Shoegaze techniques (modulation effects, chorus, clean reverbs) while Deafheaven draws much more heavily from the epic soundscapes and crescendos of Post-Rock, reminiscent of bands like Mogwai or Explosions in the Sky? Atmospheric Post-Black Metal: Where is the line between blackgaze and more introspective, existential, or forest-like projects like Agalloch or Harakiri for the Sky?
