Years of hunting, one MONSTER grouper | Dream fish CAUGHT

This was the dive where I finally landed my dream fish spearfishing: a monster black grouper. As we explore remote Caribbean waters, we go to deeper zones and find bigger fish. With that brings further risks. I had been chasing this moment for years. After missed chances, blown opportunities, and watching black groupers disappear before I could close the distance, everything finally came together. I made the shot at around 85 feet, but the recovery pulled me down to around 100 feet — and by the time I got back to the surface, I knew I had pushed it too far. This video is not about glorifying deep recoveries, ego diving, or pushing past your limits. No fish is worth a blackout. I’m sharing the full story because this dive taught me a serious lesson, and hopefully it helps someone else make a better decision in the water. Always dive with trained buddies, know your limits, and be willing to let the fish go. I also share the emotions I felt finally achieving a lifelong dream. Something that I had only imagined, became reality. Knowing that I put in the work and training to make it happen. Preparation finally met opportunity. And that feeling of getting "the one" is impossible to describe, so get out there and chase your dreams. Not only did I get this immense feeling of achievement, but I got to make dozens of fish sandwiches and tacos to share with my community.
