Chordplay - The Chords of Accept
Here's the next episode of Chordplay with The Chords of Accept. I've had a lot of requests for Wolf Hoffmann and the music of Accept, so when I put today's lessons together, I decided early on to go ahead and create a Wolf Hoffmann Three-For-All along with an Accept-focused Chordplay lesson - so here you go! I hope you have as much fun working through and watching these two lessons as I did making them. Wolf is a monster musician and his ideas come from everywhere - rock, hard rock, metal, classical, blues, and so much more. This lesson focuses on Wolf's signature and patented hard rock riffing and while he plays traditional power chords in his music (and regular major/minor chords) he also has a gifted way of attacking the strings with his picking hand while ravaging his guitar with intricate double-stops, partial chords, and implied tonalities. Most of his famous riffs, fills, and solos are based around or partially influenced by classical music, which makes everything that Wolf does within his music exciting, interesting, and decidedly different. Instead of being focused on technique or shredding his way through classical music and concepts, Wolf is more interested in targeting the moods, themes, melodies, and textures that you hear, which is a unique approach and such a breath of fresh air - musically speaking.
