Prince Rama Varma - Bonanza at Swathi Thirunal College of Music!

Prince Rama Varma created history at the Sri Swathi Thirunal College of Music, Thiruvananthapuram, by organizing a concert there with his Top Team of Sri S.R.Vinu, Sri B.Harikumar, Dr.S.Karthick and Payyannur Sri Govindaprasad and getting more than 110 students to sing along with them from Start to Finish! This was a direct result of an invitation from Vidwan Sri Sreedev Rajagopal and around 30 hours of intense teaching sessions there by Varma ji, from July 2023 to November 2023! This video is an absolute delight from so many angles! With each artist giving their best, with the common goal of music making at it's highest level, the Guru, the Masters on stage, the students before them, the lucky members of the audience; everyone is soaked in the majesty and the magic of Maharaja Swathi Thirunal's Masterpiece, Saroruhasana Jaaye in Ragam Kamavardhini, which has a set of brilliant Jathis. The playful rounds of Swarams by Varma ji, taking the students on a delightful excursion and the brilliant Thaniyavarthanam by the percussionists, make it akin to a rock show, despite being South Indian Carnatic Classical Music at it's finest level.
