X-Force Flip Axle Operation Felling Trailers

Suggested operation of a Felling X-Force hydraulic detachable gooseneck trailer with an XF-Flip 20-1 axle (option). Remove Shims - Using the Suspension Dump Valve, pull to dump air from the XF-Flip 20-1's suspension. Remove Shims from curbside and roadside, stow the shims on the interior beam of the flip axle and secure with a cotter key. Push valve in to air up the flip axle's suspension bringing it level with the rear deck of the trailer. Move pin lock arms in place. Once rear deck of the trailer and flip axle are level, dump the air suspension on the trailer and on the flip axle. Dump Suspension Air, this releases pressure on the lower lock pins so the pins can be moved to the upper lock pin location. Remove lock pin from lower brackets and place in upper lock pin brackets. Once lock pins are in place secure with a cotter key. Disconnect hydraulic hoses and electrical connections before flipping the axle into storage position on the rear of the trailer. Next, adjust the axle chain up system (option) this prevents excessive axle movement of the flip axle while in transport. Using a loader or a forklift, secure straps to the D-rings provided on the rear of the flip axle to raise, then lower the axle onto the trailer. Caution: Stay clear of pinch points to avoid potential injury. Note: Trailer and flip axle must be on level ground when attaching flip axle or storing flip axle on the rear of the trailer.
