Mak Itam Sawahlunto Jo Mak Unggi Silungkang | Full Trip

Mak Itam is the nickname for the E1060 steam locomotive that once operated on the cog railway between Batu Tabal - Padang Panjang - Kayutanam. This steam locomotive is now housed at the Sawahlunto Railway Museum and serves as a tourist train between Sawahlunto Station and Muaro Kalaban Station (with plans to continue the service to Silungkang Station). Mak Unggi, whose real name is Asril Idris, hails from Silungkang, Sawahlunto. He has been a huge fan of the Mak Itam train since childhood. He is thrilled to see the Mak Itam tourist train back in operation. The Mak Itam Sawahlunto tourist steam train is operated on a charter basis, with a one-way fare from Sawahlunto to Muaro Kalaban costing approximately IDR 6,000,000 (six million rupiah).
