Kızıl Deli Seyyid Ali Sultan (nicknamed Hızır Lale) In Ahmet Hamdi Zeza Pasha's Arabic book (p. 50), his name is written as "Hızır Lale Seyyid Ali Sultan," and under the picture it says Seyyid Ali Sultan, son of Seyyid Hüseyin Ata. He was nicknamed Hızır Lale. His birth is recorded as 710 Hijri and his death as 805 AD (1310-1402). Seyyid Ali Sultan built a dervish lodge in Dimetoka in 1397 AD, where he awakened souls. He passed away there and was buried in this lodge. The lodge is located on a beautiful hill by the Kızıldeli River. It is known by the nickname Kızıldeli because of the name of this river. Balım Sultan's father, Mürsel Baba, also went to Dimetoka to be with his friend (Seyyid Ali Sultan), where he established a dervish lodge in his own name and became its head. At Seyyid Ali Sultan's request, he married, and from this marriage, Balım Sultan (one of the most valuable spiritual leaders after Hacı Bektaş Veli, the person who compiled the rules of Bektashism) was born. After Hacı Bektaş Veli's death, Seyyid Ali Sultan became the head of the lodge, joined the Sultan's forces to participate in the conquests in Rumelia, leaving Habib Emirci in his place, and went on raids. Later, when Timur stirred up trouble, he closed the lodge. Seyyid Ali Sultan passed away in his lodge on the banks of the Kızıldeli River in Dimetoka, and Yağ Bali Baba succeeded him. Upon his death, Balım Sultan became the head of the lodge. According to a legend, he was one of the 40 heroes who, in a dream, received a command from the Prophet Muhammad and came to Hacı Bektaş Veli. Hacı Bektaş Veli then sent them to Orhan Gazi, and they proved very valuable in the conquest of Rumelia. Of these 40 heroes, Seyyid Ali Sultan was the commander; Emir Sultan the standard-bearer; Seyyid Rüstem Gazi the chief judge; and Abdüsamed the imam. They were received with respect by Orhan Gazi. They made a great contribution to the conquest of Rumelia, and by establishing dervish lodges there, they won the hearts of the people.
