Time Lapse Claire Taylor Sculpting a Baby in Monster Clay Video Part 2
This is Part 2 of Timelapse of me, Claire Taylor, sculpting a baby that will be produced in Soft Solid silicone, in my studio. I got this idea from a collector telling me she would love to see me actually sculpt. I enjoy sculpting, but I think it could be very tedious to the person watching, also it takes a lot of time so I did the timelapse. Sometimes during sculpting, the camera stopped a few times but I didn't notice because I was so into what I was doing I didn't notice. This is not a tutorial, just a demo of what I do when I am sculpting. for more information about this baby visit her webpage http://clairetaylordolls.com/The%20Pr... I have added this video so you can see some close up of the details, Please keep in mind that there are parts in the video that are shown much larger than you would ever see them in reality, therefore keep that in mind when looking at the pictures and videos. You can see more of my dolls on my website www.ClaireTaylorDolls.com Visit my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Claire-Taylo... I'm Claire Powell Taylor, and I hand sculpt my dolls from a blob of clay and make everything for them except the clothing accessories and the eyes. I have been making dolls for over thirty years. My favorite dolls to sculpt are portraits of children and babies. Recently I have been more focused on silicone dolls and produce mostly full silicone baby dolls. In the past, I produced vinyl kits and Silicone doll kits. I strive for excellence and I try to make my dolls as realistic as babies from the hand of the Creator, as I possibly can. Although I started making dolls in 1982, I don’t remember ever not sculpting, I have been sculpting as far back as I can remember, I remember sculpting before I remember writing and drawing, which I also enjoy doing as well. When I was a small child, my favorite thing to ask for as a gift was clay. I sold my dolls at doll shows and through doll magazines before I started making my OOAK dolls available on eBay in 2006. I have been featured in doll magazines and have had many awards, but that is not what I strive for, my goal is to simply enjoy making my dolls. I have been making silicone dolls for 8 years and I strive to make my dolls to be as realistic as possible. Photographs and videos are only a shadow of the true realism of my dolls, collectors repeatedly tell me how much more realistic my dolls are when seen personally and are they often mistaken for real babies. Collectors also tell me they love my rooting the attention to detail of my dolls; unless you have seen one of my dolls personally it is hard to imagine how much more different they are from other dolls.
