Kaley Young Marries Brendan Fowler in Dreamy Tuscany Wedding - Shark Tank Cup Board Pro

Back when I started MJS (MJF for the real OG’s), I placed Italy as my one and only “bucket list” place I’d like to shoot a wedding. I am connected to Italy as both parents are Italian (my father was born there and came to America when he was 9), and as a child I had fallen in love with its natural beauty when visiting. Throughout my 13 year career, I’ve shot in many amazing locations but Italy, she was an elusive place. A few years ago, while watching one of my favorite shows, @sharktankabc, I found myself crying over one particular episode. It was a tragic story of three siblings who lost not only their mother to cancer, but their father too after developing cancer caused by the FDNY cleanup efforts during 9/11. Their father’s product @thecupboardpro was his labor of love and they honored his legacy by pitching it to the sharks. (Spoiler alert) In a beautiful act of kindness, all sharks went in on the deal, donating their shares of the profits to FDNY charities. A few short months ago, I received an inquiry from that brave and strong girl I saw on TV. Kaley told me all about her wedding and relationship to Brendan, the man who helped her through many of the up’s and downs in her life. As fate would have it, a series of events culminated in having her dream wedding moved to Tuscany, and us being part of it. Over a week, we enjoyed all that Italy had to offer: the food, the wine, the endless beauty…but most of all, Kaley, Brendan, and their friends and family. Spending time with all of them, being welcomed at every meal, every event, and refusing to let us leave, Matt and I left with our hearts (and bellies) full. Although Kaley was not able to have her parents at her wedding, there were signs of their presence everywhere and I have no doubt they played a HUGE part in making it as perfect as it was.
