3 Massachusetts Golf Courses Under $50 — April Recap

Spring golf is officially here in Massachusetts! In this April 2026 recap, I'm walking you through three new golf courses I checked off my Bay State golf quest — all under $50 to walk. From a target-style Cape Cod course to a hidden 9-hole gem in Central Mass to a brutally hilly target-golf experience out in the Wachusett area, here's what I found. Courses played in this video: 00:47 — Quashnet Valley Country Club (Mashpee, MA) — $45–50 to walk. A target-style Cape course with marshland, trees, and a back nine routed through houses. Holes 6, 7, and 8 stood out, with the par-3 8th drawing comparisons to the 17th at George Wright. 7:07 — Westborough Golf Club (Westborough, MA) — $30 to walk 9 holes. A town-owned 9-holer with great land, a solid walk, and approach shots that genuinely make you think. Holes 5 and 6 are a mid-round dip, but holes 1–4 and 7–9 deliver real value. 13:48 — Woods of Westminster (Westminster, MA) — $38 to walk. Short (under 6,000 yards) but extremely hilly and tight. The walk from 7 to 8 might be the hardest climb on the quest. The 10th hole is a contender for worst hole I've played in Massachusetts. Holes 14–18 finally let you breathe. .... Huge thanks to Bag Boy for sponsoring — use code BSG10 for 10% off the Nitrogen push cart, the same one I've been walking with for years. Father's Day is right around the corner. ...
