Packing Your Winter Alpine Climbing Pack and Pockets: the First Step to Efficient and Safe Rests
When alpine climbing on a cold and slippery winter summit, being safe with your body temperature and with your gear when taking a rest stop comes down to quality management of all of those things. But quality management of those things begins with having the right stuff accessible in your pack and in your pockets. This video goes over how to pack for efficient rest stops. Our next video will go into the sequence we often use during those rest stops to ensure we stay warm, safe, and don't lose any gear. In the video, I am using the Hyperlite Mountain Gear Prism 40L Pack, made of dyneema composite fabric (1lb 13oz or 822g), which you can find here: https://bit.ly/3Ex2iAZ For more information on this video, go to: https://www.shortguysbetaworks.com/al... 0:00 Intro 0:11 Bumper 0:20 Efficient Rests Begin with Packing Well 1:37 Keeping Items in My Pockets 3:00 Packing Order for My Pack 4:44 What's On the Outside of My Pack 5:08 Conclusion 5:22 Outro To see all of our video and blog content, you can visit: https://www.shortguysbetaworks.com Please see the link for our disclaimer policy for all of our videos: https://www.shortguysbetaworks.com/di...
