CRCobs with Jobs, Haying with Horses: The Prequel

A new to me McCormick-Deering no.7 classic horse drawn sickle mower with a 5 foot sickle… did some light restoration work this weekend replacing the team pole and tightening things up. None of my cobs have ever been on a sickle mower and I wasn’t sure so the drag would be too much for my teams. Time to do a few test runs! CRCobs Miss Matilda, Yoda and SD Gumdrop all traded around teaming up to get the lane cleaned up and knock some weeds back. A great workout, farm is looking cleaner and an idea of what we need to work on before haying next month!
