What’s in My Camera Bag as a Solo Wedding Videographer | Wedding Videography Gear 2026
This is what’s in my camera bag as a solo wedding videographer in 2026. In this video, i'm walking through the full wedding videography gear setup I currently take with me to a wedding day, including my main camera rig, Sony A7S III setup, lenses, audio recorders, lighting kit, backup cameras, drone, support gear, card management system and the harness I use to keep essential equipment on me throughout the day. This is not a video about carrying as much kit as possible. My wedding videography equipment has been built over several years to solve real problems on a wedding day: reliable audio, low-light filming, faster lens changes, backup camera angles, speech coverage, ceremony safety, creative lighting and staying mobile as a solo wedding videographer. I'll also explain why I use certain pieces of kit, how they fit inot my wedding day workflow, and what I would focus on first if you are building your own wedding videography equipment list. The video covers: My Sony A7S III wedding videography rig The 35mm and 85mm lenses I use most at weddings External monitoring, false colour, LUTs and exposure tools Shotgun microphones and reference audio V-mount power for long wedding days My adapted wedding videographer harness Sony TX650 and Tascam DR-10L audio recorders Backup camera bodies for ceremonies and speeches Drone footage and when I actually use it Wedding videography lighting gear Monopods, tripods, gimbals and support kit How I think about building a practical wedding filmmaking kit The aim is not for you to copy this setup exactly. The better question is: what problems are you trying to solve in your own wedding videography workflow? If your audio is unreliable, start there. If speeches are too dark, look at lighting. If you keep missing moments because your kit is buried in a bag, think about how you carry the essentials. If you are filming paid weddings with one camera, think seriously about backups. This is the wedding videography gear I trust for the way I work: cinematic, story-led, editorial wedding films created with a solo shooter setup that still needs to stay fast, reliable and practical on a real wedding day.
