We took into account the wishes of buyers and made an experiment with increasing the maximum speed. After numerous races, it was decided to keep the maximum speed below 90 km/h. At this speed, with good driving experience, it is still possible to make smooth lane changes safely enough. The speedometer of an electric bike shows the real speed, the wattmeter shows the current consumption in W*h. But only up to 10 kW, because with intensive acceleration you will not see the fifth figure. Peak power is now set to 17 kW and acceleration from 0 to 70 km/h takes up to 5 seconds. It is currently the fastest production model in the world. This means that this is a ready-made model of the CityCoco, which you can simply buy from our store. On the Internet, you can find several craftsmen who made the sitikoko drive 80 km/h with standard Chinese motors. They raised the battery voltage or switched the motor windings at great sacrifice in torque and efficiency. But these are standard motors of CityCoco electric scooters, they cannot withstand such a load for a long time, this also applies to a standard controller. For an electric scooter of the CityCoco form factor to travel 85 km/h (meaning the real speed according to GPS), you need at least 5.5 kW of power in the absence of a headwind. For full operation, the engine must withstand such power for an unlimited amount of time. Today our goal is to test whether the CityCoco Long Range Performance can withstand such a load for a long time. It should be borne in mind that periodically there will be sharp accelerations, at the moment of which the peak power can reach 17 kW. Unfortunately, due to the strong wind, the helmet of the electric scooter driver moved, and the camera stopped focusing on the display. So we simply removed most of the shooting with a view from the helmet, leaving only those parts where the driver tilted his head and the display appeared in the frame. The trip was safely completed, the voltmeter showed the battery charge at 68V, this is more than 15% of the charge, that is, it was still possible to drive more than 10 km in a straight line at maximum speed until it was completely disconnected. But the maximum speed has already dropped to 67 km/h, the power consumption is up to 3 kW*h, and in this mode for the engine is nominal work, it does not heat up, so there was no point in continuing the experiment and driving until the batteries were empty. The total mileage was almost 85 km. A good result considering that the movement was almost always at maximum speed. Until a complete shutdown in this mode, you can drive about 100 km. We were unable to show you the power consumption at lower speeds, but we will present you all the values ​​that we measured separately in the form of a table. In standard Chinese engines, in most cases, the efficiency is from 50% to 80%, and even then, in the middle speed range. Therefore, energy consumption can increase by exactly the same amount, and therefore mileage can decrease, in comparison with our measurements. It can be concluded that the CityCoco is, all the same, a universal electric scooter, which has not only good cross-country ability but also a good power reserve and a sufficient maximum speed to keep in the stream even on the track.
