Grundofen Teil 1

I'm building my own masonry heater. Please note, this is not a how-to guide. I've done a lot of research and spent several hours discussing it with a stove builder. Many regulations must be followed, which vary considerably from country to country and region to region. Structural integrity, safety clearances, material selection – all of these are crucial factors. I went to the stove builder with an idea for the heater. The heater's dimensions were calculated on a computer using specialized software. From this data, I then designed a model. It will have an output of 2.8 kW, a nominal heating time of 12 hours, and a flue length of 4.8 meters. It's switchable, with one flue running into a bench on the ground floor and another running upstairs into a wall heater.
