Bitcoin has fallen more than 70% from its peak, and most of those who bought it during the euphoria are still waiting for a sign that will tell them when the sell-off is over. The problem is that this sign doesn't arrive when you want it to; it arrives when the market decides, and confusing patience with hope can be very costly. In this video, I explain why I believe cryptocurrencies haven't yet bottomed out, what price level I consider reasonable to start building a position in Bitcoin and Ethereum, and in which month I expect this turnaround to occur if the pattern of previous crypto winters holds true. I also explain how I manage risk when a forecast doesn't come true, what I do if the price breaks out prematurely, and why comparing Bitcoin against the Nasdaq, gold, and other cryptocurrencies gives me insights that price alone can't provide. I've been in the financial markets for 40 years, and one of the hardest lessons I've learned is that having a price target is useless if you don't know how much you're willing to lose if you're wrong. The relationship between what you risk and what you expect to gain is often more important than guessing the exact figure.
