나이 들수록 이상하게 품격이 느껴지는 사람들의 비밀

The secret behind people who strangely exude dignity as they age. These are individuals whom one cannot treat lightly, despite possessing neither wealth nor status. Through the psychology of Carl Rogers, Dacher Keltner, Roy Baumeister, and Susan Fisk, this book unravels the four attitudes that build the dignity of a weighty elder. They are certainly not seated in a prestigious position, nor are they dressed lavishly. Yet, some people change the atmosphere of a space simply by sitting quietly. In their presence, people choose their words carefully and straighten their slouching postures. Conversely, there are those who have money, status, and a loud voice, yet strangely seem to constantly appear frivolous. The difference between these two people is not age, wealth, or title. It is the very difference we call 'dignity.' And today, you will surely realize that dignity is not something you are born with, but something you can create starting today. ───────────── 💌 Members-Only 'Heart Letter' Every Tuesday through Friday, we share deeper, more private stories of the heart that couldn't be included in the free posts, in the [Level 1: Heart Filling] members' space. 🕊️ Secret Sanctuary The [Level 2: Deep Empathy] space is also open for those who wish to safely and anonymously share inner worries they cannot tell anyone else. 👉 Join the members-only sanctuary: https://www.youtube.com/@어른의심리/join ───────────── 🌿 The Story We Will Cover in Today's Video Dignity is not something you are born with, but rather something that is built up through the accumulation of several distinct attitudes. We will explain, one by one, the four attitudes that are repeated in people of class, using psychology. Carl Rogers, a master of humanistic psychology, stated that every person has their own 'material of evaluation.' Whether that reference point lies within or outside of oneself distinguishes a wavering person from a steadfast one. Daker Keltner of the University of California, Berkeley, speaks of the "paradox of power." Lasting influence stems from respect, not coercion, and dignity is revealed not in those above, but in how one treats those below. American social psychologist Roy Baumeister studied "self-regulation." Whether one can control the impulse to prove oneself by just one beat distinguishes a frivolous person from a person of substance. Susan Fisk of Princeton University stated that when we look at people, we observe two axes: "competence" and "warmth." When both are high within a single person, we come to respect and love them simultaneously. By the end of this video, you will have taken a step forward into the position of someone remembered for their dignity, not their age. 🎬 Recommended Videos to Watch Together 🌿 Fatal Speech Habits That Make Everyone Leave You as You Age 👉    • 나이 들수록 곁에 사람이 모두 떠나는 치명적인 말버릇 3가지   🌳 People Who Underestimated Me Will Change with Just One Word 👉    • 나를 만만히 본 사람, 이 한마디에 바뀝니다   ⏱️ Timestamps 📍 00:00 People Who Cannot Be Treated Carelessly vs. People Who Feel Shabby No Matter How Much They Fill Them 📍 00:49 Dignity Is Not Born, It Is Made — Four Attitudes 📍 01:16 First · Live by Your Own Standards, Do Not Beg for Recognition from Others 📍 02:22 Carl Rogers — The Subject of Evaluation, Where Is the Standard Point? 📍 05:34 Second · Treat the Weak Just the Same 📍 07:01 Decker Keltner — The Paradox of Power, True Authority Lies in Respect 📍 09:50 Third · Do Not Rush in Trying to Prove It 📍 11:00 Roy Baumeister — Self-regulation for controlling impulses 📍 13:54 Fourth · Solid but not cold 📍 14:59 Susan Fisk — Competence and warmth, two pillars 📍 17:36 Dignity is built not by time, but by attitude ✨ ✍️ Today's Resolution "From today, I will not beg for the approval of others, I will not rush to prove myself, and I will build my dignity as a person who is solid yet warm."
