PhD while working full time
Doing a PhD while working full time? Trying to fit it all in? Feel like you're doing everything, but badly? You're not alone! So many of you are balancing your doctoral PhD studies with your jobs, and a whole load of other things too - childcare, voluntary work, work experience, part-time work for your supervisor. Hats off to you, seriously! You're doing great! However, some of you are going at work and study so hard that you run the risk of burning out. That's why I made this video (and the one before it) with tips on things you can do to make the grad school grind a little easier and less painful. In this video, I cover the importance of being organised - but not beating yourself up if things have gone a little awry! I also outline the benefits of study buddies or accountability partners - if you don't have one of these amazing humans in your life, you need to grab one, now! And lastly, I stress the absolute NECESSITY of celebrating every small win on your doctoral journey. Please don't save the celebrations for the end, for your graduation, because trust me, you'll probably be too exhausted to enjoy that day properly anyway!
