In this first part of a new series I analyse the very first Persona game, released in 1996 for the PlayStation 1. I would later be rereleased for the PSP in 2009 but we'll get to that version in a later part. In this first part we dive into the inception of the Megaten series, starting with the first Megami Tensei and Shin Megami Tensei games. We also go over a brief history of Atlus USA and its many attempts at bringing the series to the west.
