How to Make Hush Puppy Crab Bites

Hush Puppies Crab Bites 1 box corn muffin mix 1/4 cup self-rising flour 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning ½ teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon onion powder 1 egg 1/3 cup whole milk ¼ cup finely chopped onion ¼ cup finely chopped green bell pepper ¼ cup finely chopped red pepper 1 tablespoon diced Jalapeño 1 cup lump crab meat Combine muffin mix and flour in a bowl. Add seasonings: salt, old bay seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir ingredients. Add 1/3 cup milk, add egg and mix well. Add onion, green pepper, red pepper, Jalapeño and crab meat. Mix well. Drop batter into oil using a spoon, melon scoop, or an ice cream scoop. First, spray the scoop with Pam spray. If the scoops are too large, the crab bites will take longer to cook and may not get done on the inside. Cook on each side for one to two minutes until golden brown on each side.
