The 14th hill climb race at Oberjoch near Hindelang in Allgäu was the final of the European Hill Climb Championship and the German Hill Climb Championship in 1986. The Swiss Frey Amweg won the day's ranking. Herbert Stenger secured second place in the European Hill Climb Championship and Walter Pedrazza became German Hill Climb Champion. Even then there were discussions with environmentalists, with arguments that were not very convincing from today's perspective. What a pity about this wonderful hill climb race.
