It shares a new platform with the latest-generation Kia Sorento. Upgraded engines include a 2.5 MPI gasoline engine producing 180 hp, a V6 producing 249 hp, and a 2.2 diesel engine producing 199 hp. The latter is paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission instead of a standard automatic. All versions are all-wheel drive. The gasoline engines can run on AI-92 gasoline. Official specifications promise acceleration to 100 km/h in 8 seconds for the most powerful version. The model now features a heated windshield and washer nozzles, 20-inch wheels, a digital instrument cluster, and a multimedia system with a 10.25-inch display. The Hyundai Santa Fe can park itself using a remote control, allowing the driver to park without having to sit behind the wheel. However, the LED headlights no longer feature swiveling low-beam sections.
